From Victory In Europe
Brancaleone started is adventure in ViE as a member of the "Graphics and Advertising Team", drawing the first 2 avatars for the CinCs at the very beginning of the tournament,
and the Weapon Badges.
After the dismissal of the Graphic Department, he kept on working on Avatars, Ranks and Medals/Awards for the Axis Armies.

Real-Life Background
Brancaleone is an architect born in September 1972 in Caserta (Italy), a small town near Naples, where he lived till 2002 when he moved to Oporto (Portugal). His main interests are soccer,cooking,cinema and opera.
Origin of the Nickname
Brancaleone is the main character of the italian comedy movie "L'armata Brancaleone" (1966)
A Middle Age Italy's poor but brave knight who lead a group of inept and coward rogues (his crusaders) towards fortune and glory, in an epic-hilarious journey to the south of Italy.
Day of Defeat History
Brancaleone started playing DOD since its first release, and took part to almost every BFE campaigns, since BFE#2.
Always as Axis, and always in the FT defensive squad, he was forced to MG most of time because of his old PC, who granted him, during the BFE campaigns, the excellent value of average 10 FPS. But MGing had also another great advantage: the possibility to smoke while playing.
Before DOD:S was released Brancaleone got a new PC and found that his 10fps years of training had been useful to improve his aiming ability and way of playing.
With DOD:S Brancaleone left his faithful MG and currently tries to kill allies with the K98 and Riflenades.

ViE Career
Brancaleone is maybe the only former BFE and actual ViE Player who never joined the Allies since he started playing DOD (mainly due to his ineptitude with allies weapons!)
After a long grunt life in BFE, Brancaleone started his CO career in ViE#3, thanks to Moondogg who gave him a squad as Capitano in the 3° Regimento Bersaglieri.
After 5 more campaigns as CO/NCO and a hard job in the Axis Strat Team (he had to decline twice the General spot due to RL issues) he was appointed by aga as CinC for ViE#9.
His Divisione Corazzata Ariete won a hard campaign against a strong allies army.
