COs
From Victory In Europe
Commanding Officers (COs) are the main leaders in ViE. They are usually appointed before a campaign starts. Officers are in charge of managing the battle and their divisional forums. The highest-ranking officer on the server has the ability to assume command of all units involved. They exercise their judgment over the course of the battle and changes to be made in the plan to counter enemy movements. Officers may designate someone in field command of a given unit or the entire battle should they desire to reward success and evaluate future leaders. Officers or their designated field commander's orders are law and repeated failure to follow orders is grounds for discipline.
Ranks
A variety of CO ranks exist on both sides. In this article, Generals are not counted as COs, they can be found at General ranks
