The eighth campaign of Victory in Europe was scheduled to start on September 15, 2007; 11 battledays were planned, with the last one being scheduled for October 20, 2007. Registration opened on September 8, 2007.

This was the first campaign where players could "pay to choose" their side, (only 15 per side). After that the remaining players were randomed as usual. Also for the first time the CO's, other than the CinC and Generals, had to sign up the same as everyone else and were not chosen before the registration opened.

This was the first campaign in Victory in Europe history that ended in a tie, both sides had 111 after the last battleday.
