Obergefreiter is an Axis soldier rank. It is used in three variants, one for the Heer, one for the Luftwaffe and one for the Kriegsmarine. This is a German rank used in all three branches of the Axis Army, be it Heer, Kriegsmarine or Luftwaffe. The correct plural is Obergefreite.

This rank can be traced back to the first campaign of Battle For Europe, where it was first used in the [DAK] squad of the [AxisGW] Army for the lowest-ranking NCOs (despite the rank never was an NCO rank in real-life).
The first Obergefreite in BFE/ViE history were Animal, Ewok and Stats
